Blogging tips are not that rare. Thousands of blogs are shouting – do this and that, don’t do this, not that, bla bla and bla…
Visit every blogs but all of them are suggesting tips to be a successful blogger, to make your blog a successful one.
Update your blog every day
Most established bloggers suggest to publish posts regularly. Some advocate the schedule and some friends love to talk about posting frequency. Your visitors should get fresh content everyday. Search engines are hungry ‘Hangra’ who are always in a quest for fresh content to quench their thirst.
There is nothing wrong on those tips. Nothing appears to be deceiving. But this is why, most probably, the novice put themselves over the fire. It is what makes them pale.
“You are not passionate about the topic you are blogging about, if you do not find what to write.” I hope you’ve read this statement EVERYWHERE. Am I not passionate about this niche? Then why can’t I vomit everyday?
If you believe me, this is not what I believe. Make yourself cozy. Write when you wish and publish what you like.
Don’t get scared, its true.
Publish Quality Content
Ahh! ‘Kontent is King. Don’t Kill Those Kittens.’ I’ve gone through many posts insisting to make a second, third, fourth and ….. reading. Look carefully if there are some spelling mistakes lurking in your post. Check if your sentences follow the grammar. Write long post. Write heavy posts – thought provoking one. So it looks if blogging is the charm of literary dudes. You don’t know language? Don’t know humor? Don’t know coherence? Uffff! Learn them!
Are you about to quit?
Relax! May I disagree with ‘Kwality Kontent’? Why should I? But still, I don’t put all of my coins in this basket as well.
Community Networks
This is another wonderful tips but always over XXXXed. Read the blog posts of other bloggers. Post comments. Visit regularly. Talk to the bloggers. Build up a community. Come front. Knock you first. Say hi! Create an account on Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Delicious, Disqus, StumbleUpon, Bloggers, BlogEngage, MMOSocialNetwork, FAQPal, Amplify, Buzz, Yahoo, Youtube, go connect, build network, build community, mark your presence everywhere. Will there be any time left for you to think, enjoy and write about what you ARE passionate? Will you be left with ONE air to breath after helping everybody else?
You can’t live out casted and you’ll need a community. But think, how many coins you’ll drop in to this basket?
One Reason
Yes! One reason. This is what matters most. Be your language not perfect – I guess you can communicate. Be your content not top quality – guess it is not filthy and worthless piece. Be you not a network star – at least a few recognize you. Be everything else, everything – but if you have ONE reason, that’s the key to success!
Why should I remember the name and address of your blog? Why should I come back to your blog time and again? Why?
One reason, if you have to continue blogging – its certain, you’ll succeed.
I stayed away from blogging for some time. There was an exam to attempt and I was taking that higher than necessary. Blogging schedule? Post frequency? Regular visitors? Loyal commenters? My blog was still getting some traffic. No no, it was through search engines. It was getting some comments but all with those face-less heads. A few friend appeared now and then and dropped some sweet words. I appreciate the relationship.
My other sites on the other hand were running as usual. My absence did not affect them much. PS Exam and ICT Trends were welcoming as many visitors and earning same money through advertisements. Why was this difference? I was behind all of those blogs and sites! My absence was equally dispersed over all of them!
The reason was ONE REASON. ICT Trends and PS Exam had a reason for visitors to wander around, to come back again and again. The old contents, whatever were there, could function as usual. But for this blog the story is different.
Why should you come to my blog? What is it that identifies this blog among the heard of others? This is what I’m pondering upon these days. Some value, some service, for what visitors can rely, can look for is the soul of any site. I’m searching for that ONE REASON now! Please wish me good luck.

What a beautiful post, as you said none of those advice is wrong or misleading but for a newcomer those are hard to follow. Another things is those are professional bloggers who outsource most of the day to day work, something unthinkable for a new blogger.

Thank you Edwin. I always missed blogging when I was away for exams.
Hey Suresh,
I really wandered why you didn’t post for sometime to your blog, I don’t want to be a martyr or seem like one, but I did come back to your blog only to find silence and no one around.
I don’t think that anyone, being problogger or a brand new blogger can maintain their traffic if they don’t publish or don’t show themselves in the community. That it’s just the way blogging is built. The traffic is from social media, and other blogs once you stopped participating in the community you practically cut your traffic source.
I am a little confused about your post, but I somewhat understand what you are saying. I hope you can find that which separates your from the flock, the spark that will bring visitors again and again.

You are right Alex, this is how the blogging world goes on. When there is no new topics to discuss how would any conversations go on! I did not mean a blog that would run without author, but what I am pondering upon is what can be on what I could stand different and more helpful. Like I run ICT Trends where I involve as a mentor, a guide that inspires and helps the candidates of Computer Operator examination and visitors there are happy to find me there. I made my space there. Now here in this blogging world, I’m looking if there is really something on which I can prove myself reliable for something?
Thank you Alex for your friendship and value it high!
Good luck Suresh and thank you for sharing that one reason
Thank you Raymund for the comment.

I’m glad Sanjeev, you liked it.
So, the one reason is because the contents is useful so people is coming and coming to learn from it.

Yes the content should be useful. But still does it not cover that broader area of usefulness?
While some intend making money blogging the rest blog for fun or for some other reasons but still, whichever one we opt blogging is interesting. There are times when I completely run out of ideas and there no topic under the sun or beyond space to write about. I need that ONE reason to get all the innovative ideas and lots of inspiration. Nice read, I enjoyed reading this helpful post.
Thank you Andrew for the comment. I believe this happens to everybody now and then. I don’t think its because you are not passionate about the topic but because of in-activeness. As we go on involving on different activities, we will find more and more to talk about.
Suresh, what a great and inspiring post. And thanks for letting me on this one reason. I have much to learn about SEO in the future and want to be back for more here to extend my knowledge
.

Thank you Ashsanul for the comment. In fact we share same feeling and we like good things. But many times we pretend unawareness. Might be there are lots of driving factors – the need to make money, the need to increase number of posts, the need to present something to the heard. But I guess anybody won’t devour all those stale infos. Thank you once again for dropping your feelings here.
Hi Suresh, I try to post everyday, I think it keeps your blog fresh and it keeps those that visit regularly interested in what you are doing, if I come up with a couple of posts in one day, I will schedule them, so not to over inflate the amount that subscribers to the blog have to take in

Karen @ Blazing Minds recently posted…How to make your computer run better
Its perfectly good for you who has a solid reason for blogging and has a great community. The problem is for new bloggers who are not finding what to write about and are is under pressure that they need to publish everyday something to keep their blog fresh
I like this post so much for I gain so much knowledge from it. I agree on your points about how frequent to post topics in blogs.
Good luck to you!

Thanks about this post. What I find hard for a new blogger, such as me, is to get itself some devoted readers. As for the point of updating your blog everyday, wouldn’t it depend on the type of blog? As I run a blog about reviews, I think that posting a review a day will be too much. I prefer myself to run on a 5 days basis.
William Wright recently posted…Why is manga generally better than anime
Absolutely, that solely depends upon you and your blog along with the visitors you are targeting to. Does it require daily, does it require regular schedule, does it require what and what not – it can’t be made any rule. That’s what I mean.
Updating blog everyday is essential for the blog to live and succeed. I too have faced decreasing genuine traffic and comments on my blog as I away for nearly 2 months from active blogging.
Kavita recently posted…What is Affiliate Marketing
Hi Kavita, I think we should focus more on the type of posts that really help readers to do something beneficial to them and the type of topic that can live the time change. If we have more posts of this sort, I guess, the visitors from search engines would not decrease and blog can survive when we are in break for some time. I’m studying myself – at what I am good to make my blog live more comfortably.
Hi Suresh,
Posting everyday is not bad but if I’m a subscriber, I would rather receive 2-3 post feeds every week depending on the quality of the articles. You have a strong point on being successful and it’s really moving to read something like this once in a while
