Making money from Amazon is another most reliable monetization option for bloggers next to the affiliates and Adsense. Many people do not appreciate Amazon affiliate program immediately because it offers only 4% commission on every sale. But if you look it a bit more closely, the monetization opportunity is worth giving a serious look.
Why I believe Amazon works is because you are promoting physical products. Alex rightly pointed out that half of the marketting is already done because, you don’t need to convince customer. This is something just opposite to the software products. All you need to have is targeted visitors to your amazon sites to drive them up to the Amazon pages.
One reason why most people love Adsense is passive income. You set it up and forget. The program keeps earning for you. What if, there is a way out to set up an amazon site and forget and it continuously generates commission for you?
I tried a couple of Amazon Plugins for WordPress that pulls content from Amazon and creates pages automatically on my blog. WPZon Builder is really awesome in that it searches and lists the products for you to select. Creates posts or pages (as you configured) with your associate ID integrated to link to the Amazon. The best thing is it avoids duplication of products!
But today, I’d like to talk about a more recent plugin, much cheaper that WPZon Builder, works like a charm and has additional SEO benefits. Just for $17, a plugin that automate your Amazon niche site is really worth giving a try. It is WP Dollar.
I bought WP Dollar and truly wondered to see 10 PLR blogs in the bundle along with the plugin I’d bought. More surprising thing is the PLR Blog costs 97$. Haha? $97 bonus on $27 product!
Whatever! The PLR blogs are awesome and extremely easy to set up and get it go. All you need to do is upload a zip file and a script file to your server and open script from the browser. Provide details about the database, username etc and LOL the site runs! It won’t take you more than 2 minutes to install and run a blog. You can happily customize the look and feel of the blog as you wish. Check my new site Pregnancy Goods for example.
Because the blog was already running, all I needed was to install WP Dollar and create 3 or 4 Amazon Ad units, one Amazon Post Campaign and done! This made the build part of the blog a real easy.
Now what I should focus on is to write original articles to attract search engine and promote the blog a bit. Let’s see how it will perform in future, but the features it offered are truly promising.

Yea John, I found WP Dollar really cheap ($17) and effective compared to the wonderful WPZon Builder (I paid around $67). But I can’t search for products in WP Dollar, it fetches relevant products itself.

I’m relatively new in this area but totally startled how it pulls money. I have niche blogs that are hardly getting 30-50 visits a day and already started to make money! I’m going to build them up and see how it performs.
I don’t using this plugin but recommend to try “Amazon Product In a Post Plugin” that also good and help you insert the amazon product on the post very well.

I just recently installed a free plugin that pulls CJ products. Uses keyword and seems to be working well.

Paying money for anything really requires a proper research and understanding. The reviews from somebody who has already bought it might be most helpful. But the problem these days is that the products have affiliate programs and its harder to identify if the author’s review is genuine or just promoting the affiliate product, isn’t it? Anyway, after reading a couple of reliable posts, you can make better decisions.
It is definitely difficult to find reputable information, one of my biggest setbacks early on. I found that bloggers who have taken the time to answer questions or respond via comments, twitter, and the like, for those who are clearly less experienced tend to be the most reputable.

Hello there, thanks a lot for your post, I did get my own copy of the plug-in and had those 10 free blogs along with it. Right now am rewriting all the articles so I can launch the sites. Could you please tell me how you got your site to look different from the its original look when it was delivered, I want to do that as well with mine, I don’t want them to look similar. What kind of plug-in did you use? Any details?

I changed the theme of site so it looks different than others. When you have WordPress you can always have better themes that suits your purpose, isn’t it?
There are in fact a lot of overpriced WP plugins out there for Amazon Affiliates. I personally don’t care about plugins that enable you to plaster your site with Amazon links. The single biggest mistake Amazon affiliates are making is to use a shotgun approach to affiliate marketing. Plugins like Convertazon (www.convertazon.com) actually gives you the ability to really focus your efforts and it generates awesome calls to action… the stuff that actually makes people buy!
