MyLikes Review–Are you really making money on twitter?

Are you really making money on twitter through MyLikes or just spreading rumor about twitter money with a hope you’ll earn one day?

twitter money making money with twitterHeard about MyLikes from Sayed for the first time through his post – “Another Way Of Making Money Online! MyLikes”. I had clicked some links that brought me to MyLikes page and to target URL from there. Oh! I’d already involved in twitter advertising? I hate quick money, get rich quick, earn doing nothing sort of programs as they always mislead and waste your time just dreaming. Reality is totally different than what most of them say. I hate pay for surfing programs too. They make you work for all hours paying hardly a few cents a day.

Ignored MyLikes for some days and after reading some positive comments made my mind to test it. Hope you don’t mind a few twitter money Winking smile

Why Twitter Advertising Works?

Its really easy twitter money

Don’t believe, but nothing is more easier. All you have to do is register MyLikes and browse through current or recommended campaigns, then tweet one that interests you. Done! if any of your follower liked your tweet and clicked on the link, you got money for it. Can making money on twitter that easy?

There are lot of people

Wherever they see a heard of people, business creeps in. This is how marketing works. And it is not bad either. Those who are not a bit interested find it irritating while somebody looking a bit more information enjoys them smiling in.

Twitter has 190 million people in its network and you too have a few thousands followers, don’t you? Your one tweet has a reach of thousands a time. Out of them, if 10 or 20 followers clicked the link you got 10 or 15 dollars, instantly. Does twitter money look too good?

Click-through on Twitter is more probable

We are very concerned on whom we follow and who are our followers. We can’t follow everybody because there is a limitation imposed. That’s why the people tied in network share likes and interests.

Because those who follow you share similar interest and like something similar to what you like, it is very probable that they click your links. If you have really higher click-through rate, money from twitter become more lucrative, isn’t it?

Quit anytime

The payout of MyLikes is really lowest. You just need $2 to pull it into PayPal account. If you feel MyLikes is not working for you, just quit it anytime. But is making money with twitter that bad?

Suggestions and alerts

Not always everything that earns you is advisable. There are some risks too involved if you are too much attracted in making money with twitter. Don’t forget that twitter is relationship, trust, cooperation and helping each other for the benefit of all!

Don’t tweet anything without checking yourself

This is the first thing I’d like to suggest. Spammers are everywhere and where there is money, there are more of these creatures.

There are some nice descriptions linked to something filthy. If you can’t check the advertiser’s link yourself, don’t tweet it. Don’t hurt us following you.

Don’t tweet if it is not in your niche

I followed you because I’m interested what you tweeted. I wish to know more about the topic you were involved in. So, when you tweet any message from twitter advertising be it MyLikes or any other, think twice if it is related to our niche. If I feel you’re deceiving, I’ll unfollow you in good times and ban in bad times.

After registered, I found my pay per click rate is $0.22. I got there Ads ranging from $0.04 to $0.22. I twitted 4 messages altogether in these days and found the link that was clicked was of $0.07. It was a message of commentLuv. This was what I was talking and this was what most related to my niche.

I know, it won’t take much to loose all of my followers if I start tweeting about ‘Chinese Dating’, ‘Asian Bride’ and the like. Know your niche properly and check if the tweet is really related. Only making money on twitter is not everything.

Don’t tweet too much

How much you are engaged in Twitter? How often you tweet? How many your does not have links? How often are your promoting others? How often are you promoting yourself?

Don’t tweet ads too much. That is directly spamming. One or two tweets a day perfectly blended with your twitter flavor might work great.

I’d better register Mylikes and visit all the ads if I were that interested in ads, why should I follow you? Don’t dilute the reason to follow you.

Would you like to test MyLikes?

After going through these pros and cons, you’d like to test how it works for you.

    Hi Suresh,

I use it and the more important point is that they allow only 1 tweet per day, I don’t believe this can irritate your followers.

Take notice that clicks in facebook are counted too – said to me for an advertiser that paid for them. I don’t have many offers recently to tweet that can be nice for my followers. I’ll see the results in the future.

    Cheers,

So far, I haven’t had any problems with MyLikes. You raise some good points thought about posting things that relate to your niche. That one can be tricky for me at times because I have a wide range of followers. I try to only post 1 maybe 2 ads a day.

Oh yes Kevin, it would be really tough target a particular product when you have all sort of followers in same twitter account. This might be the reason, many experienced tweeples started to create different twitter accounts based on their blogs or niche. I guess its time to do that !?!!.

Hey Suresh, the first time I ever made money online was with MyLikes. I used it to buy credits on CommentLuv to add default links and extra URLs. I think it’s pretty cool. I still didn’t get a payout from AdSense yet :)

I use Sponsored Tweets too but they don’t have that many offers compared to MyLikes. Good luck with it my friend.

Thank you Ileane. We have different experiences on online money. I first got payment from Adsense and have not any through MyLikes yet. I hope it will offer more products that are suitable to tweet and a few more money ;-)

I’ve not used Sponsored Tweets yet. Probably after some times.

MyLikes was great about 3-6 months ago but I have seen a huge drop in quality of advertisers recently, I still make about 2x as much through SponsoredTweets. Mylikes however lets you earn clicks off of Facebook and not just Twitter which is good for those with prolific Facebook networks but not a large Twitter following.

If you want to know some other programs, hit me up I have reviewed and tested 7 programs that pay you to promote on Twitter or Social Media.

You are welcome Patricia, anytime. I wish to discuss it a bit more before I decide to sign up with Sponsored Tweets. Followers are the most precious numbers to risk anything.

    Hi Suresh,

Great Post. Kind of reminded about it. I used to use it. I made some money out of it (like $10 I think). But after I got busy with blogging, I forgot about it. Thanks to your post, I will check it back.

Thanks for the great post, Suresh !

Hey Jeevan! Now got to know everybody were using it! Might be because the money was smaller, it went out of mind. People say Sponsored Tweets earns much better than MyLikes but I have not used it. I hope you have some experience with that too?

May be. Yeah, I used both of them. I am still using Sponsored Tweets. I got more results from Sponsored Tweets ($20+). I think Sponsored tweets are better if you have a decent number of followers.

P.S : I have send you an email regarding guest posting @ your site.

A few months ago I was earning enough from mylikes to pay for my hosting which I thought was good. But the offers I get now are from the same advertiser at a rate of only 4 cents a click. Maybe new advertisers will come and make better offers but in the meantime I will not even bother checking the site.

It must be due to the fact that the advertisers did not find good conversions so had to lower their budget. I wonder if anyone really clicks a link if he/she knows that it is an Ad.

Thank you Roezer for the updates & your views.

Thanks for mentioning my article Suresh,

I was just going through your blog to see what I missed in the past 2-3 weeks, I had university exams so I wasn’t able to check my favorite blogs everyday.

I tried MyLikes but I decided to take a little break from it because I found that a lot of the times they have restrictions on who clicks the links you tweet. A lot of the times they say it has to be someone within the U.S or you wont get paid. It would’ve been better if you get paid no matter where the click came from.

I decided to leave MyLikes for a bit but planning on returning to it in the future when I have time to explore it further.

Glad to hear a lot of people making money using it though.

    Thanks again Suresh. :)

Twitter is definitely one of those money-making, blog-building powerhouses. But I like your reminder that Twitter isn’t about *just* making money, it’s about networking and building relationships. You wouldn’t like your neighbor if all they did was knock on your door asking you to buy something from them.

however, if that same neighbor came over with the occasional casserole, or helped you change a tire, and invited you over for coffee and conversation, when they *did* ask you to buy something, you’d be much more amenable, wouldn’t you?

That’s great! Some money from twitter is always welcomed. I have stopped using MyLikes anyway. Busy with something else.

  14. Doug 27 September 2011 at 2:23 am Permalink

Don’t bother with MyLikes. You get paid nothing and advertisers are horrible.

    Example –

MyLikes could set your social score to 600 meaning you can get paid up to 60 cents a click but most advertisers average somewhere between 1 and 15 cents.

Say you do end up finding an advertisers that will pay you 60 cents a click. Ok, great. You tweet the ad in a way that was recommended and you rack up the clicks. Awesome.

Except, MyLikes allows advertisers to disapprove any ad at any time. So while you may have racked up 30 clicks and $18.00 in earnings on Monday, by Wednesday it is disapproved and you are back to zero.

    Absolutely horrible service.

Hello! It is for the first time reaching this blog and i found some interesting posts. Reading them I was asking myself some questions. Why some bloggers are working so hard to put usefull information for the public and in the end they realized the compensation is too small? Is it worth it? The people who read this posts understand the volume of work necessary to mentain a blog alive? I really hope so.

Keep up the good work. You have my appreciation and I wish you a lot of success.
