SEO Techniques to Tackle Google panda update
Google came up with its panda update a few months back and several website owners and bloggers saw major changes in search engine rankings for their keywords. The panda update aimed at removing highly placed low quality sites from search engines and replacing them with sites with high quality content. Google panda update derived its name from an engineer named Panda and was a resulted in algorithmic changes which affects online search results.
Google had been planning this update for some time due to the rise of numerous low quality sites to the top of search engine results. Google conducted surveys for it’s users about the sites they visited online. These surveys collected important data regarding user experience on metrics such as quality of content, bounce rate, click through rate etc. This provided Google an insight of the types of sites users like to visit. Thus, they brought in the panda update which brought favorable sites to the top of search engine rankings while low quality sites went down in their search engine rankings. The traditional SEO techniques were not ideal to tackle this update and most webmasters had to rethink their SEO strategy.
Google panda update has major changes to search engine results but it has rewarded sites with high quality content with search engine rankings. If you are someone who create quality content for your sites and use white hat SEO techniques you should not be much affected by the panda update.
A major lesson all webmaster need to learn from this panda update is that just choosing the right keywords is not enough to reach high search engine rankings. Google now also takes a look at how you create your site and whole lot factors related to your site apart from keyword optimization before deciding on your site’s search engine rankings.
Now just creating quality and valuable content is not sufficient to achieve high search engine rankings. You have to plan and design a site which appeals to visitors and they share it on social media. Your site should entice users to stay for longer time with interesting content and great layout. Panda aims at giving users the best experience in online search results.
You should also keep in mind the various metrics that determine its user friendliness. Some of the important factors to look into are your site’s click through rate and bounce rate. Now your site won’t get ranked because you have well optimized it for the keywords that you are targeting.
Google panda update has brought major changes to the online world. If you want your site to show up at the top of search engine rankings it’s important that you apply white hat SEO techniques and work towards improving user experience at your site.

I agree with most of what you said, but I think a lot of these points were at play even before the panda update. Site speed, user friendless, fresh content and so on.
I guess, panda was a aggressive reminder to all of us what a websites should be and do.

Google always told many a times that it would like to give higher rankings to user friendly sites but still many low quality sites were ranking on top pages, so Panda update was necessary to rem0ve such pages.

I think there is no need to panic, We should create a site or blog which gives high preference to visitor satisfaction and provide them answer what they’re looking for. In other words try to target those keywords which you think people should use to search your site and get best solution from your side.

Aaron you got the point,. This is what Google is trying to convey with its Panda update. Focus is shifted from search engines to users. If user gets, what he was expecting before clicking to your site, bounce rate will be low itself. And obviously avg. time on the site would be high. Your click rate will also improve.
I’ve thankfully seen a lot of people bouncing back from the Panda update. All it takes is writing more high quality content and improving link building. These changes will happen but webmasters just need to remember to always add value

I have a few Danish niche sites and they are fortunately not been hit by panda this time. I’ve gotten a little better rankings.
But the panda update focus more on quality and I think really it’s a good thing. at least in Denmark. Many of the Danish sites have been affected are pages with no quality as before was well in google.

Yes,very true.Now a days,its not enough if you are building backlinks for your website.But also to take care of quality content on website.If website will have low quality content or crappy content then quality link building can not help us to improve search engine ranking.
